Ilimo Dairy Farm launching its new Ice Cream Shop

PNG’s first Ice Cream parlor opens at Vision City Mall – Port Moresby

Ilimo Gelato, a new shop dedicated to ice cream, milkshakes and Sundaes opened December 10 2019 at Vision City Mall in Port Moresby

Ilimo dairy, a joint venture between the state, central provincial government and agribusiness firm has recently expanded its production to Ice cream and opened an Ice cream park at Port Moresby Vision City Mall.

The Ice Cream joins a long list of dairy products that Ilimo has launched since production commenced in 2018, including Fresh Milk, Flavored Milk and Yoghurts, sold across PNG.

The new Ice cream park offers an assortment of classic flavors such as Vanilla, chocolate strawberry, cookies and more. The products are all made from locally produced Ilimo fresh milk and are sold at affordable and competitive prices. This new venture brings new life and leisure to the community and creates additional job opportunities to the existing 200 employees already working at the dairy farm.

BIOHOUSE Labs opened at Hadassah Ein Kerem

BIOHOUSE labs opened December 2019 next to BIOHOUSE Hadassah, a community platform in the Ein Kerem campus, connecting bio-med stakeholders.

The fully equipped bio-pharma labs are part of a global professional community for bio-pharma startups, allowing for fruitful and efficient research and collaboration for the development of Bio-med technologies. The Labs were set up using an investment of millions of dollars, in order to provide startups with top quality facilities and equipment.   The project consists of 1000 M2 with 40 designated lab stations in open space and private labs. Additional shared infrastructure rooms include tissue culture, molecular biology, chemistry, wash and sterilization, microscopy, freeze storage and more. The shared Labs are fully equipped with advanced facilities, professional services and network and are strategically located with quick and easy access to Hadassah medical center and the Hebrew University.

Anton De Kom University Suriname

Development of Student Dormitories, public buildings and infrastructure in Suriname’s prestigious Anton de Kom University

2018 saw the successful completion of phase one of Anton de Kom University project.  The first stage consists of two dormitories buildings for 304 students, a modern cooking kitchen and dining area for 1,500 people in three shifts, laundry, convenient store and campus offices.

The project aims to encourage and enable hundreds of Surinamese students from all across the country to pursue higher education at Suriname’s only public university. The project was carefully designed with utmost consideration for the environment and for the comfort and social life of the students in order to promote higher education in the country.

Increasing the number of student dormitories, strengthening the university infrastructure, focusing on student welfare and improving research and teaching facilities are all part of the government’s effort to invest in accessible national higher education for all.

To  maximize efficiency, the project is being developed in phases by implementing high tech methods. It entails the construction of nine student dormitory buildings for 1500 students, two research buildings and an auditorium. Currently the project is well into phase two with the construction of two additional dormitories with 304 beds and a state of the art auditorium seating an audience of 1200 people.

This multi-phase project aims to create a positive social impact by promoting young leadership and is undoubtedly a tremendous catalyzer to local economic and educational development of Suriname.

 

 

ANTON DE

Exxon Partnership

A local partnership with Exxon and Innovative Agro Industry has been established for the development of a large scale commercial agriculture farm which will include fruit, vegetables, dairy and poultry production.

The project will provide smallholders the supporting infrastructure of training, extension services and management to create employment and sustainable economic development of the region through agriculture.

LR Group’s CEO, Ami Lustig, which provide supporting services  to Innovative Agro Industry has recently visited PNG for the signing of the new project.

LR Group Opened a shared biotech workspace in Jerusalem

The LR Group is to invest NIS 50 million in building and operating BIOHOUSE – a network of specialized workspaces for bio-medical startups within the campuses of three medical centers in Israel – Hadassah Ein Kerem in Jerusalem, Rabin (Beilinson) in Petah Tikva and Rambam in Haifa. BIOHOUSE offers a unique combination for startups – strategic location in medical centers, project acceleration via professional services and investment opportunities.

BIOHOUSE’s first workspace was established in cooperation with Hadassah Medical Center Ein Kerem and the Jerusalem Development Authority’s BioJerusalem venture and launched on June 19, 2018. It hosts ~50 startups and a digital health accelerator, operated by Hadassah.

Agritech 2018

LR Group recently participated as a leading exhibitor and professional speaker in the Agritech Israel Conference 2018, the International Agricultural Technology Exhibition, which is one of the world’s most important exhibitions in the field of agriculture. The conference is established in cooperation with the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Israel Export Institute. The event took place between May 8 – 10, 2018 at the Israel Trade Fairs and Convention Center in Tel Aviv. LR Group hosted its distinguished colleagues, including agricultural ministers and respected figures in the global agriculture spectrum.

Mr. Ami Lustig, CEO of LR Group and Public Management Chairman of the Agro Division at the Israel Export Institute led the international panel of project financing, hosting leading figures from the banking and funding industry. Mr. Lustig discussed the options for finance facilitation in the agriculture world.
